[7] Invitation of Dr. Katja Wirth Buergel as a foreign research fellow from October 9, 2005 to October 8, 2006
When Prof. T. Yano attended Internoise 2004 (The 33rd
International Congress and Exposition on Noise
Control Engineering) in Prague, he listened
to Dr. Katja Wirth Buergel's presentation
and was interested in her research. He then
invited her as a foreign research fellow for
cross-cultural studies on community response
to aircraft noise. Her stay is supported by
the 100 Years Anniversary Foundation of Faculty
of Engineering, Kumamoto University .

[8] Special lecture on temporal design of environment by Prof. Emeritus Y. Ando, January 12, 2006
This lecture was supported by the fund of Education
of Creation, Faculty of Engineering. Prof.
Emeritus Y. Ando gave a special lecture to
the 2nd grade students of the Department of
Architecture entitled “Fundamental Design
Theory of Environment Based on the Audio/Visual-Brain
System and its Application.” |

policy by Dr. L.S. Finegold, February 1, 2006
Within the course “Project Seminar,” for graduate
students, Mr. L.S. Finegold is invited to give
a special lecture entitled “Community Responses
to Environmental Noise: Research Results and Related
Noise Policies”. Dr. M.S. Finegold will provide
a summary in Japanese.
